Mount Nod Primary School

Our school is set in a green, residential area of the city. We are fortunate to have playing fields, large playgrounds and other outdoor spaces to enjoy including woodlands, a nature area and wooden gazebos.

We believe in setting high standards and expectations in both academic work and behaviour. Our staff, parents and children work together to ensure that the school provides a bright, safe and interesting learning environment.

  • The culture of this school is one of high expectations and continuous improvement. Leaders have continued to improve teaching, the curriculum and the physical environment of the school since the previous inspection.
  • Pupils receive an education which is at least good at this school. Pupils are rightly proud of their school and enjoy the exciting range of activities and trips that the staff organise.

Children in Need day 2019 was great fun!  We raised lots of money for a great cause and the children won the 'Beat the Teacher' competition - the prize? No homework this week! It was a close contest but apparently children can eat doughnuts more quickly than teachers, can work very quickly putting pictures of Blush together (even blindfolded) and can throw velcro darts with a mean right wrist!  A big thank you to Miss Smith for organising and to the staff and children for being such good sports!  See some of the photos of the nail biting competition in our gallery .
