Mount Nod Primary

The School Day

The school day starts at 8.55am and finishes at 3.20pm.

Registration is from 8.55am to 9.00am.

Lunchtime and School Meals

All children have their lunchtime between 12.10 and 1.10pm.

Children have the option to bring in a packed lunch or order a cooked meal that is prepared on site. The cost of a school meal is currently £2.20 and offers a choice of main courses and desserts, with salads and fruit always available.

Free School Meals

All children in Foundation and KS1 are entitled to a school meal free of charge.

Additionally, free school meals for other children are available to some families according to family income. It is important to register for entitlement to free school meals, even if your child has a packed lunch or receives a free meal through the universal free meals – this is so we can receive additional funding (Pupil Premium) which we can use to help your child.

Click on the following link to find out more about whether your child is eligible or contact the benefits team on 024 7683 3773.

Drop off and collection

At the beginning and end of the school day, parents are encouraged onto the playground.

This helps build up a close relationship between home and school.

If normal arrangements have to be altered (eg you are delayed or another person is collecting your child), please let us know. This avoids any confusion or upset.

Getting to School

To get to and from school, walking is definitely the best option!

There are lots of benefits: it’s healthier than travelling by car, it improves the safety of pedestrians and road users and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we have covered bike- racks. If you do need to travel by car, please park wisely.
