Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium Grant is additional funding received by schools to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in state-funded schools in England. The funding is allocated to pupils who are recorded as eligible for free school meals, or have been recorded as eligible in the past 6 years (referred to as Ever 6 FSM). It is also available for children previously looked after by a local authority or other state care, including children adopted from state care or equivalent from outside England and Wales. The grant also provides support for children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces, referred to as service pupil premium (SPP).

It is important to understand that, even if you choose not to have a free school dinner, the pupil premium will benefit the pupil in the school.
The Pupil Premium Grant has been used to support targeted intervention sessions for both individuals and small groups. A small proportion has also been used to subsidise extracurricular opportunities including music tuition, trips and the Year 6 residential trip.
